Master Candice Allard began her training in Blue Wave Tae Kwon Do under the guidance of Grand Master Robert K. Decker in 1992.  She was attracted to the art by the beauty in its movements. Ms. Allard was devasted by tragedy in her life and needed a way to find herself and regain her focus. Tae Kwon Do fostered self confidence, self control, and respect in herself at a time in her life that it was needed the most. Ms. Allard received her 1st Dan in 1995, and has been an instructor at Decker's Blue Wave Tae Kwon Do Academy.  Master Allard is a regional and national champion.  Ms. Allard earned her 5th Dan on December 2, 2006.

Master Guay began Tae Kwon Do at the Blue Wave Academy in August of 1980, under the instruction of Grand Master Decker.  In 1989, he opened his own school at the Stanstead College. Within 6 months he moved his growing school to Rock Island. On July 17, 1984, Mr. Guay earned his 1st Dan. In 1986 Master Guay travelled to Korea to learn about their culture and the ways that they trained in the art of Tae Kwon Do. For the next 3 years he travelled and  was the Head Coach of the teams at the USTA Junior Nationals in Minnesota in 1989. On December 8, 1991 he recieved his life goal of 4th Dan, Master Instructor. 

Master Woodward began her study of  Blue Wave Tae Kwon Do under the teachings of  Master Guay. When she reached her red belt,  she continued her schooling in this art with Blue Wave Instructor Master Begin in Canada. Master Woodward achieved her 1st Dan rank in November 1998.  Her long time goal was to gain the title of Master Instructor, in which she did, on December 2, 2006 under the guidance of Grand Master Decker. She enjoys the self defense and confidence she has gained through her training. It has helped her to overcome a lot of shyness she has experienced. She especially loves patterns. Master Woodward earned a Silver medal in Patterns and a bronze in Sparring at Nationals in 2006.

Master Deslandes started her journey in the world of Blue Wave Tae Kwon Do when she was just 7 years old. She has always held an interest in the art, and appreciates the confidence, inner strength and assertiveness she has recieved from her training. She believes strongly that Tae Kwon Do makes her a better person. Master Deslandes holds a special fondness for doing patterns. She has helped Grand Master Decker in teaching at Decker's Blue Wave Tae Kwon Do Academy. In 1992, she earned her 1st Dan, and most recently her 4th Dan Master Instructor on December 2, 2006. Master Deslandes has competed at Nationals and at the Junior Olympics.She has acquired at least 10 Grand Championships. She suffered a severe knee injury in November 2005, but that has never gotten in the way of her Tae Kwon Do training. She has always participated to the fullest extent of her capabilities, making her a stronger person.
Mr. Matthew Girouard holds the degree of 3rd Dan.  He began his Blue Wave Tae Kwon Do training at the age of 7 years old with Grand Master Decker. The discipline and the philosophy of this martial art captured his interest. He particularly enjoys doing patterns and Olympic Sparring. Mr. Girouard has earned three Grand Championships Awards at different tournaments in the region, and is always a challenge for any competitor he faces.
Mr. Thomas Nelson joined Decker's Blue Wave Tae Kwon Do Academy about 8 years ago. The thought of learning self defense for every day life gained his interest. Learning how to be more respectful to himself and others was a bonus for him. He really enjoys the discipline aspect of this martial art, and sparring is one of his favorite things. He is a tough competitor and is always ready. He assists Grand Master Decker with teaching in class, learning more responsibility as he continues his Tae Kwon Do education.
Ms. Phylicia Stebenne began studying Tae Kwon Do with Blue Wave at the age of 9 and has been involved for the last 6 years. Being able to defend herself was her key motivation to studying the art, discovering along the way, that it was lots of fun too! When Phylicia was 12 years old, she earned her 1st Dan, and more recently received her 2nd Dan on December 2, 2006.
Ms. Lisa Bellows has been highly involved in Blue Wave Tae Kwon Do for 5 years, beginning at the age of 9. Her cousin participated in this martial art and Lisa went and watched a class one night, and knew instantly that this was something that she wanted to pursue. She appreciates the focus she has gained in her life as a result of studying Tae Kwon Do. Competing and sparring challenge her to new levels in her skills, and she is always ready to step in the ring. She attended the Nationals in 2006 and brought home Gold, Siver and Bronze from her first competition! Currently she teaches the Dragon Program at the Blue Wave School in Canada. She is an active student at Decker's Blue Wave Tae Kwon Do Academy in Derby and is training deligently as a fierce competitor in Olympic Sparring and Forms.
Harold joined Decker's Blue Wave Tae Kwon Do Academy just 4 years ago and reieved his 1st Dan on December 2, 2006. His interest in this art was peaked when Grand Master Decker held a demonstration at his school. He has gained more self control in his life and his physical and mental strength has increased. Three Grand Championships have been awarded to Harold at various tournaments he has attended. He has a passion for kicking drills.
